Allison, I know we are in a tight situation but by sending Ken a discouraging email we will not be able to sove the problem. I say we should have a meeting with Ken and explain to him our dilemma. We need to be clear to him that this project is important to us and it should be to him too, especially since this is a team effort. Also firmly mention that we could lose Brooks as a client which could cost Green Flag good amount of money. Hopefully this will motivate Ken and if we see that it does not, then we can take a more serious action. Talk to you when I'm back in the office. Michelle |

Michelle,
ReplyDeleteA nicely-written e-mail. Especially, focusing on the job consequences are important:
"Also firmly mention that we could lose Brooks as a client which could cost Green Flag good amount of money." Though you started off discussing the personal issues, it was smart to put the focus back on the company and how Ken's underperformance affects the business.
